Active Tab Exporter
Active Tab Exporter is a Chrome extension that allows you export all of your currently open Chrome tabs to either the clipboard or to file. This saves you the time of going tab by tap to copy your open URLs into a list that you can add to a report, research notes, email, or calendar invite.
It also has optional features like sorting the output and a domain filter so you can exclude any domains (such as ‘google.com’ or ‘reddit.com’ from your output results.
You can download and use the extension for free on the Chrome webstore here.
CertCheck for Chrome
CertCheck is a very niche app designed for people who collect and trade graded cards like Sports, Pokemon, Yugioh, etc.
This extension makes it extremely easy to pull up the certificate details of any grading card that someone might be thinking of purchasing while browsing auction sites like eBay, Goldin Auctions or Heritage Auctions.
The CertCheck window opens up to a form that allows you to enter in the certificate number and select the grading company (both of which can be found when looking at pictures of the slab). Upon clicking “Search”, the certificate details for the graded card are opened in a new Chrome tab.
This is extremely useful as an extra layer of authentication for a card someone might be seeking to purchase, but also because some grading companies publish high resolution scans of the card or publish known public sale history as well as population reports for the card.
You can download and use the extension for free on the Chrome webstore here.
There is also an Android version of CertCheck that’s available for free on Google Play for those who go to big trade meets or events to buy and sell graded cards.
URL Group Manager
URL Group Manager allows you to create and manage groups of URLs. The extension allows you to open all of the URLs in a group into new tabs at the click of a button.
I was inspired to build this tool when I realized I would frequently open the same sets of tabs depending on what I was doing. So for example if I were to go pay my bills, I’d usually open up my power, water, gas, internet, and rent websites all at once so I could pay them at the start of the month. Or for working on my project like CryptoConvert, I could save all of my Trello boards, important documents, and everything else into a group and open those up as soon as I sat down.
What I wanted was a tool to save and manage those groups that I was constantly using and a way to open everything in a group with 1 click. There didn’t seem to be a great solution already on the Chrome Web Store at the time, so I wrote and published URL Group Manager in the Summer of 2017.
Main Features:
- Syncs with your Google Account – Access and edit your groups from anywhere as long as you are signed into your Chrome account. This works great for if you have a work PC, laptop, home desktop, and other devices you frequently switch between.
- Name Each Group – Name all of your groups to stay organized.
- Automatically Saves New Group Drafts – If you start creating a new group and close the extension, your draft will be saved.
- Create New Group from Current Window Tabs – When creating a new URL Group, instead of adding new URLs line by line, you can simply check a box and have all of the tabs in your current window included in your new group. This is great for if you want to just save your current browsing session and resume it again later.
- Edit Groups – Create a group and need to add a new URL or remove an old one? Simply click the edit button and you can edit the URLs in the group.
- Hide URLs for a Cleaner Look – Click a checkbox and the URLs themselves will be hidden from the main view of the extension – simply showing you the name and the control buttons.
